Three Killer Blackberry Apps
There are some new developments that make it pretty good

So, the Blackberry is not an iPhone or Droid. But for folks like me who need fast text entry (for e-mails) models like the Tour or Bold are great solutions.

Although the Blackberry will likely never be as hot as an iPhone there are some new developments that make it pretty damn good.  For example, applications for the Blackberry are now provided in an “app store” that can be used online or directly through the device. On your Blackberry select the “App World” application and surf the apps in many ways, including directories, categories, and search tools. Or on your computer visit:

a) Twitter:  There have been several Twitter clients, but now an official one that brings the full functionality of Twitter to the Blackberry.  Download at:

b) Facebook: This provides a much smoother interface into Facebook than logging in via browser and is a good/fast/easy way to stay connected with your social circle.  Download at:

c) LinkedIn:  This is a new one for Blackberry and I’m excited to have it.   LinkedIn is more of a professional system of social networks than most other tools out there (although there is quite a bit of overlap with Facebook and even with status updating systems like Twitter).  To download visit:
